Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System in Morristown, Tennessee is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for the Medical Surgical Unit. This full-time role supports registered nurses with hands-on care, ADLs, and monitoring patient condition on day shift.

You will perform vital signs, assist with mobility, nutrition, hygiene, and documentation, while maintaining infection control and a safe, compassionate environment for patients under supervision.

Qualifications

• Direct patient caregiver under RN supervision.
• Perform ADL assistance and execute technical tasks as assigned.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards.

Responsabilités

• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Support nutrition needs: feeding, meal distribution, hydration.
• Provide personal care: hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe patient environment; report changes to RN.
• Assist with suction, drains, or ostomy care as trained.
