ixolabs.ai is seeking an experienced medical coder to create and review coding examples from documented clinical records, with a focus on ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and E/M rules. You will cite governing guidance and explain code sets that are inaccurate or likely to fail review, supporting clear rationale in English.

The role requires an active CPC credential, at least two years of coding real charts, proficiency in ICD-10-CM/CPT/HCPCS, and the ability to articulate coding decisions.

Professional background

Create and review medical coding examples from the documented clinical record. Check ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and E/M choices where relevant, cite the governing guidance and explain code sets that are inaccurate, unsupported or likely to fail review.

The annotation profile requires an active AAPC CPC. Preferred skills include ICD-10, CPT and E/M rules, varied clinical documentation and clear explanations. Access to current official codebooks/guidelines is preferred, as is experience with annotation or data projects.

The production-coding route accepts CPC or AHIMA CCS in good standing and requires at least two years coding real charts, practical ICD-10-CM/CPT/HCPCS knowledge, clear English and ten hours weekly. Inpatient work, risk adjustment, E/M audits, training other coders and additional CIC/CRC/CPMA credentials are advantages.

Working arrangements

This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Agree the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs and working schedule with IXO before starting. Any commitment or duration described in a practice profile is an indicative planning requirement for that route, subject to that agreement.

Pay

$70 $100/hr USD. The applicable rate is agreed for the work and professional track before you begin.
