Description du poste

Our vision

We are on a mission to reinvent procurement by transforming complex processes into simple and automated actions. Najar empowers businesses with cutting‑edge procurement solutions that are adaptable, reliable, and focused on long‑term financial health.

With our AI‑driven platform, businesses can confidently navigate the complexities of procurement, ensuring that every decision is visible, precise, and built to last.

With Najar, businesses have the tools they need to take control of their procurement processes, optimize spending, and unlock the full power of automation. Just like the navigation systems in a spaceship’s control room, our platform ensures that every insight is within reach.

About us

Our cofounder, who previously led the financial department in another company, experienced the pain around procurement processes and the lack of clarity and information. To solve this, he founded Najar in 2021. In just a few years, we’ve grown to several millions in ARR supporting 200+ customers in France and across Europe in their procurement journey, growing the team to 70+ people (including remote employees).

Following a successful Seed funding round and a Series A of €15 million led by 13Books, Portage and Tomcat, we are focused on continuing our growth and expanding our impact in the market. We have the ambition of being the leading procurement solution in France, and Europe. Our goal is to become the strategic partner for businesses, their Architect of Trust.

Your role

As Procurement Manager, your primary mission is to lead, coach, and grow a team of 5 to 10 IT Procurement Partners dedicated to our client portfolio.

You’re a player‑coach: you spend a significant part of your time on the ground, stepping into complex client situations, unblocking deals, and demonstrating what excellent procurement looks like in practice. This hands‑on presence is what makes you credible with your team and with clients.

Beyond day‑to‑day leadership, you own strategic initiatives aligned with the Procurement department’s OKRs, and you contribute to shaping the methodologies and standards of the IT procurement practice.

You report directly to the VP Procurement.

Your responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Development

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 5 to 10 IT Procurement Partners,

  • Run regular 1-to-1s, set individual objectives, and actively support each team member’s growth and performance,

  • Foster a strong team culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement,

  • Identify skill gaps and build tailored development plans to upskill the team,

  • Onboard new joiners and ensure smooth ramp‑up on Najar’s methodologies and tools.

Hands‑on client delivery

  • Remain actively involved in client situations: step in on calls,

  • Unblock complex negotiations, and take the lead when senior expertise is needed

  • Proactively surface weak signals and emerging client risks before they escalated

  • Ensure quality and consistency of delivery across client portfolio (IT, SaaS, hardware)

  • Monitor team workload and priorities to ensure balanced allocation and on‑time delivery

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring blockers or patterns across the team and translate them into concrete process improvements

  • Contribute to defining best practices, playbooks, and procurement standards

  • Own and drive strategic initiatives aligned with the Procurement department’s OKRs

Performance & Reporting

  • Track team KPIs and individual performance metrics, and report regularly to the VP Procurement,

  • Contribute to all reviews and provide structured feedback on team dynamics and delivery quality.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the VP Procurement to align on priorities, headcount needs, and strategic direction,

  • Collaborate with other Procurement Managers to ensure consistency of practices across teams,

  • Relay field insights from the Procurement team to Product, Sales, and Leadership to inform platform evolution and go‑to‑market decisions.

Must‑haves
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in IT, SaaS, or hardware procurement, strategic sourcing, or procurement consulting
  • At least 1 to 2 years managing or structuring a team, with a genuine interest in people development
  • Comfortable operating as a player‑coach: you lead by example and don’t shy away from getting into the details of a deal
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including with senior client contacts
  • Strong ownership mindset : you take initiatives, follow through, and drive things to completion
  • Fluent in French and English.
Nice‑to‑haves
  • Experience in a fast‑growing tech company or procurement outsourcing environment
  • Familiarity with AI‑driven procurement tools and data‑based decision‑making
  • Experience managing a multi‑category scope (IT/SaaS, hardware).
