Job summary

Air Apps in Lisbon is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to own financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting operations. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution and will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable growth and efficiency.

The position is fully onsite at our Lisbon office, with relocation support available. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and compliance, ensuring accurate financial information for key decision-making.

Qualifications

• Around 5+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, or financial management.
• Big 4 experience or startup/scale-up background valued.
• Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, or related field.
• Chartered Accountant qualification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, control and report financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across departments and product lines.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
• Oversee internal control systems and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and tax obligations.
• Collaborate in a fast-moving environment, cross-functionally to align financial reporting and business goals.
• Manage cash flow, cost control, and ad-hoc financial risk assessments.
• Optimize automation of ERP and accounting tools such as Netsuite, Payhawk, Ramp.
• Analyze and report variances, provide insights into financial performance metrics.
• Contribute to business planning and strategic initiatives with financial insights.
• Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and controls for scalability and efficiency.
