Job summary

Voodoo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Playable Ads team within the Central Growth Team in Paris. You will lead initiatives while remaining hands-on with production, driving innovation in playable ad formats across games.

You will mentor a small team, collaborate with Growth and creative leads, and push for high-quality, data-driven playable creatives in a fast-moving, global company environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in playable ad or game development.
• Hands-on, maker mindset – comfortable producing work while coordinating others.
• Experience with playable ads development tools/frameworks such as Unity (Luna) or Cocos Creator.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and web game development.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and asset generation (Scenario, Flux, ElevenLabs).
• Solid understanding of mobile marketing performance metrics and creative testing.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach peers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English (French a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a small playable ads development team embedded within franchise squads.
• Stay hands-on with playable ad production to create and iterate high-quality creatives.
• Oversee workflows, tooling and best practices for the playable ads team.
• Drive innovation in playable ad formats and explore new mechanics.
• Collaborate with Growth Manager and creative strategists to align on priorities.
• Benchmark competitors and analyze performance to improve quality and impact.
• Act as a technical/strategic reference for development and marketing topics.
• Support rollout of playable ads across multiple game franchises and adapt formats to titles.
