Voodoo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Playable Ads team within the Central Growth Team in Paris. You will lead initiatives while remaining hands-on with production, driving innovation in playable ad formats across games.

You will mentor a small team, collaborate with Growth and creative leads, and push for high-quality, data-driven playable creatives in a fast-moving, global company environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in playable ad or game development.
• Hands-on, maker mindset – comfortable producing work while coordinating others.
• Experience with playable ads development tools/frameworks such as Unity (Luna) or Cocos Creator.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and web game development.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and asset generation (Scenario, Flux, ElevenLabs).
• Solid understanding of mobile marketing performance metrics and creative testing.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach peers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English (French a plus).

Role

Voodoo is looking for a Lead Software Engineer for our Playable Ads team as part of our Central Growth Team. In this role, you'll lead key initiatives developed by our playable ads team, while staying hands‑on with production and driving innovation in our playable ad formats across games.

Key tasks

Lead and coach a small team of playable ads developers/strategists embedded within franchise‑dedicated squads, ensuring high autonomy and strong performance

Stay hands‑on with playable ad production, contributing directly to the creation and iteration of high‑quality playable creatives

Oversee operational topics for the playable team, including workflows, tooling, and best practices

Drive innovation in playable ad formats, constantly exploring new mechanics, interactions, and creative concepts to stay ahead of market trends

Collaborate closely with the Growth Manager and creative strategists to align on priorities and franchise‑level objectives

Benchmark competitor playable ads and analyze performance data to improve production quality and effectiveness

Act as a technical and/or strategic reference for the team, providing guidance on both development and marketing performance topics

Support the rollout of playable ads across multiple game franchises, adapting formats to each title's creative strategy

Contribute to defining and evolving the playable ads chapter's vision, standards, and processes

Profile

4+ years of experience in playable ad or game development

Hands‑on, maker mindset - you're comfortable getting into production yourself while also stepping back to coordinate

Experience with relevant playable ads development tools or frameworks Unity (Luna), Cocos Creator or other relevant platforms

Knowledge of object‑oriented programming and web game development

Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and asset generation (Scenario, Flux, ElevenLabs)

Solid understanding of mobile marketing performance metrics and creative testing

Proven ability to mentor and coach peers

You have entrepreneurial mindset and can adapt to a high‑paced environment

You can demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

You are fluent in English (fluency in French is a plus)
