Job summary

Cumberland Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, is seeking a Registered Polysomnographer for the Sleep Disorder Center. This full-time, night-shift position involves 80 hours per pay period in Crossville, TN and requires leadership in technologist training and protocol development.

Qualified candidates will supervise, plan, and develop training activities, assist medical directors with test protocols, and work without direct supervision in a fast-paced sleep lab environment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Registration by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) required.
• Licensure by the state of Tennessee as a Polysomnographic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs all modalities of polysomnography including scoring, hook up, RBD, MWT, HSAT, MSLT in the lab.
• Performs difficult or unusual procedures (e.g., complex sleep apnea, PAP titration, seizure recognition).
• Accurately charts and maintains paperwork for polysomnography charting.
• Arranges for maintenance and repair of polysomnography equipment.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards; completes required education; participates in quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
