OECD is seeking a Junior Power Sector Analyst to contribute to analyses of electricity systems, grids and market dynamics. You will model power sector scenarios, evaluate regulations and help prepare the IEA Electricity report, working with data and policy experts across the organisation.

The role requires advanced degrees in energy or engineering, 3+ years in power systems or related fields, and strong data skills in Python, R and SQL. Paris-based, fixed-term contract with potential renewal.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in power/energy with strong modeling background.
Minimum three years in power systems, grids or related fields.
Solid knowledge of power market fundamentals and grid operations.
Proven ability to analyze data and present findings clearly.

Responsabilités

Monitor and analyse technical, regulatory and policy developments globally.
Support analytical output on grids, system flexibility and regulation.
Contribute to modelling of medium-term electricity forecasts and power sector models.
Update technical databases on electricity demand, supply and grids.
Assist in preparing the IEA’s Electricity report end-to-end.
Contribute to reports, working papers and briefing notes for senior management.
