OECD is recruiting an Electricity Grids and Security Analyst to contribute to analytical work on grids and electrification within the Electricity Systems and Markets Division (ESM). You will model power systems, draft grid‑focused content for reports, and support international grid projects.

The role requires an advanced degree in electrical engineering or related field, 5–7 years of experience in power systems, and strong English writing skills.

Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree or PhD in Electrical / Power / Energy Systems Engineering, Energy Economics, Physics or related discipline.
  • At least five to seven years of direct power systems work experience in electricity industry, economic consulting, grid tech companies, or at an electric regulatory agency.
  • Strong technical background in power systems and understanding of electricity security concepts, market fundamentals, and interaction between system operations and market incentives.
  • Knowledge of medium- and low-voltage distribution grids and grid connection processes.

Responsabilités

  • Lead technical, analytical and modelling work on power systems, grid modernization, and electricity security.
  • Analyse system integration of emerging demand and generation with focus on reliability and resilience.
  • Monitor congestion management, grid connection processes, and strategic grid planning across key power markets.
