Job summary

Chainguard is seeking an IT Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and to support Chainguardians worldwide. You’ll manage and troubleshoot various systems, provide empathetic, timely technical support, and help enforce security compliance across the company.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, and be comfortable working across time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Support, ideally in remote or startup environments.
• Experience with MacOS and Linux.
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM).
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting with Neat Hardware.
• Strong IT Security practices and a drive to improve them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Some travel required and ability to be in our London office 2 days a week.
• Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide quick, accurate feedback on technical problems and excellent customer service to employees.
• Be on-site support for our London office: maintain network, A/V, and IT assets.
• Coordinate with vendors to order, manage, and ship hardware worldwide; liaise with London vendors.
• Handle employee lifecycle: onboarding Chainguardians with tools, systems, and hardware; collaborate with HR.
• Receive requests via IT ticketing, email, or Slack; determine severity and escalate as needed.
• Provide on-call support, including some holidays.
