SixteenFifty is a specialist digital and technology talent consultancy, and we are representing a global organisation undergoing a major systems transformation. Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the decommissioning of a legacy procurement platform and support the transition into S/4HANA.

This role plays a key part in ensuring business continuity, effective delivery, and alignment across multiple business units as the organisation moves to a consolidated digital core

This is a long-term, remote B2B/contract position with occasional international travel required.

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Driving project delivery as legacy systems are phased out and replaced by S/4HANA capabilities
  • Coordinating stakeholders across technology, operations, and business functions to ensure smooth transition
  • Overseeing planning, tracking, and execution in line with established project governance methods
  • Managing risks, dependencies, and reporting to safeguard business continuity during staged rollouts
  • Supporting migration, integration, and testing activities to enable seamless adoption of the new platform

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven project management experience in large-scale transformation programmes, ideally involving ERP transitions
  • Strong knowledge of project governance and methodology (waterfall preferred; PMI training/certification desirable)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to connect stakeholders across global teams
  • Confidence working with ambiguity while maintaining a clear delivery structure
  • Experience with SAP or procurement systems transitions is highly desirable
