Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Paris is seeking a Chef de rang to join the room service team. Based in Paris, you will deliver high-quality, personalized in-room dining with impeccable presentation, collaborating with the Room Service Supervisor and upholding the group’s luxury standards.

You will take orders, ensure timely delivery, maintain guest relations, and handle special requests while maintaining discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Fluency in French and English; a third language is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury or upscale hotel environment.
• Rigor, discretion, and organization with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth and efficient service of in-room dining in collaboration with the Room Service Supervisor.
• Take and process guest orders with accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Guarantee impeccable presentation and setup of all trays, trolleys, and in-room dining equipment.
• Maintain a courteous, discreet, and attentive relationship with guests.
• Handle special requests and anticipate guest needs to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the room service area and equipment.
• Manage the replenishment and cleanliness of in-room minibars, ensuring accurate inventory and billing.
• Coordinate the setup and timely delivery of guest amenities (e.g. welcome gifts, special requests, VIP setups).
