Council of Europe seeks a Head of the Media Relations Division to lead media relations, press activities and strategic communications across the organisation. You will work with the Head of Department to translate strategic guidelines into concrete projects and coordinate a multicultural team of communication professionals.

You will manage media projects, develop public outreach initiatives, maintain strong relations with international and local media, and help strengthen the Council of Europe

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in communications, journalism, or media relations, including managerial experience.
• Excellent writing, editing and public speaking skills.
• Very good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of French, or ability to learn on the job.

Responsabilités

• Advise the Head of Department and spearhead proposals on media relations matters.
• Lead the implementation and evaluation of the Department’s strategy and translate guidelines into concrete projects.
• Manage a multicultural team of communication professionals and coordinate internal communications.
• Supervise media-related projects with a focus on measurable impact and change management.
• Develop and manage public outreach initiatives, including press releases and social media content.
• Build and strengthen partnerships with international, regional and local media outlets.
