The Council of Europe in Strasbourg is seeking a Head of the Media Relations Division to bridge strategic and operational media work with the Head of Department.

You will lead a multicultural team, oversee media projects, develop public outreach, coordinate content across platforms, and strengthen the Council of Europe’s brand with international and local media.

Responsabilités

• advise the Head of Department and spearhead proposals on all matters concerning media relations
• actively contribute to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Department’s strategy, with a focus on turning the strategic guidelines into concrete operational projects
• lead, motivate and manage a multicultural team of communication professionals; co-ordinate their activities and facilitate internal communication, fostering team spirit and a harmonious working environment
• supervise and manage media related projects, with a strong focus on results and measurable impact, with smooth change management
• develop and manage public outreach initiatives, including press releases, public statements and posting on social media; supervise the production and dissemination of communication content across multiple platforms
• build, maintain and strengthen partnerships with international, regional and local media outlets
• contribute to further developing and ensuring the consistency of the "Council of Europe" brand, by driving initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing its image and visibility both among the general public and political decision-makers.

As Head of the Media Relations Division, working in close collaboration with the Head of Department and strengthening the link between strategic and operational aspects, you will:

• advise the Head of Department and spearhead proposals on all matters concerning media relations;
