Spendesk is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a multi-site, 20-30 person engineering group including EMs and Staff Engineers. You will set technical direction, build leadership, and own economics, reliability, and delivery pace across squads.

You'll partner with Product and Design, drive platform-thinking and AI/tooling strategy, and shape a high-performing, diverse engineering culture across Europe with offices in Paris, London or Barcelona.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering
• 3+ years managing managers
• Track record delivering multi-stakeholder SaaS programmes, fintech/payments or compliance is a strong plus

Responsabilités

• Define the multi-quarter technical and organisational strategy for your group.
• Drive architectural decisions and platformisation across your domain.
• Own your area's economics — cost-to-serve, infra efficiency, hiring ROI.
• Be accountable for delivery and outcomes across your portfolio of squads.
• Lead and coach a leadership team of EMs, Senior EMs and Staff Engineers.
