Spendesk is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (IC3) to join the AI & Data Products squad. You will design, build, and operate backend services powering AI-native product features, turning ML and LLM outputs into reliable product capabilities.

You will work with ML Engineers to productionize models and integrate AI into user workflows, ensuring security and observability. Located in Paris with flexible hybrid work, you’ll collaborate with PMs, Designers, and cross-functional squads to deliver

Qualifications

• Significant backend software engineering experience in production.
• Experience designing and shipping reliable backend services with measurable impact.
• Experience integrating predictive or AI features into product backends.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs powering AI- and ML-driven features.
• Translate predictive logic and AI outputs into reliable backend behaviours for product flows.
• Build service layer enabling intelligent features across product journeys with strong latency/reliability standards.
• Own deployment, monitoring, and maintainability for production-ready features.
