Job summary

JUPUS, one of Europe's fastest-growing AI legal-tech companies, is seeking an Engineering Manager to own AI. You’ll lead the AI team, shape the technical roadmap, and ensure the standards and delivery rhythm are in place to scale with a growing user base of 2,000+ lawyers.

You won’t ship features yourself; you’ll leverage the team to deliver high-impact, reliable AI at startup pace, balancing accuracy with speed for real customers and regulatory context.

Qualifications

• Led engineering teams with measurable impact and improved performance.
• Able to drive results through non-direct reports such as product managers and other teams.
• Experience leading at pace on high-performing teams with real deadlines.
• Has substantial hands-on experience with generative or agentic AI and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI team and set engineering standards for AI work.
• Own the technical roadmap: architecture, retrieval, evaluation, observability.
• Partner with product on what gets built, and what it realistically costs.
• Get AI into real product workflows with design and engineering collaboration.
• Explain AI concepts to non-builders, including executives.
