Doctrine, Europe’s leading legal AI platform, seeks a confirmed/senior Machine Learning Engineer to help build the first legal AI platform for France and Europe. Join a high-impact squad focused on secondary legal sources and private documents, embedding GenAI at the core of our products.

You will develop NLP models, work with Elasticsearch, and collaborate with engineers, PMs and designers to shape new products.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of machine learning (classical and deep learning) for data extraction and recommendation, with some experience with LLMs.
• Experience with natural language search engines and inverted indexes such as Elasticsearch.
• Solid understanding of MLOps challenges and a motivation to grow in this area.
• Interest in artificial intelligence topics and deploying scientific advances in production.
• Strong Python development skills with an algorithm design focus.
• Proficiency in French for handling legal data.

Responsabilités

• Develop NLP models to assist information search and recommendation within legal documents.
• Maintain and monitor these models in production.
• Design conversational agents to accelerate lawyers’ work and drafting tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to identify new product opportunities.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and development of our Engineering strategy.
