Job summary

Micron is seeking an early‑career PDE Yield Enhancement Engineer to monitor yield, manage excursions, and stabilize yield during HBM NPI. You will serve as a hands‑on yield owner across PI, MRDA, PE, Assembly/Test, and Quality teams to drive rapid learning and early risk detection.

You will prepare and analyze yield dashboards, identify improvement opportunities with cross‑functional teams, and integrate AI tools to enhance process control and problem solving in a fast-paced, innovative memory

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline.
0–2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or engineering.
Strong interest in yield analysis and data‑driven problem solving.
Basic knowledge of statistics, SPC, or data analysis tools.
Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.
Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Responsibilities

Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgement and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Yield Loss Accounted For: account for NPI builds across Post Wafer Finishing, Assembly, and test through defect breakdown and PFA submission; work with PI to identify defects and brainstorm CIP; learn NPI processes and phase gates; maintain yield dashboards and support RDA in transforming processing data to yield loss breakdown.
Yield Deviation Control: analyze and report yield deviation; trigger actions with PI/PE/RDA; support block run and partial conversion analysis; work with PCS to identify SPC or FDC charts for YLR dashboards.
