Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a PDE Process Integration (PI) Engineer to drive robust integration of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products during New Product Introduction (NPI). You will partner with Fab, Assembly, Test, Yield, Quality, and central engineering to ensure process readiness, yield ramp, and on-time milestones.

Qualifications

The PDE Process Integration (PI) Engineer is responsible for driving process integration excellence for High Bandwidth (HBM) products during New Product Introduction (NPI). This role ensures robust process readiness, yield ramp, and cross‑module integration across Post Wafer Finishing PWF, assembly, and test, enabling successful execution of HBM technology roadmaps.

The PI Engineer works cross‑functionally with Fab, Assembly, Test, Yield, Quality, and central engineering teams to identify risks early, resolve complex integration issues, and deliver NPI milestones on time.

Job Responsibilities
  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
NPI Execution & Support
  • Execute assigned HBM NPI PI tasks following defined procedures and phase‑gate requirements
  • Support NPI builds through lot tracking, data collection, and readiness activities
  • Assist with NPI-to-High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) handoff activities and documentation
Process Integration & Yield Analysis
  • Support and execute process characterization, Design of Experiments (DOEs), and window studies
  • Perform yield, defect, and variability analysis using established methods
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for scoped issues
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work with Fab, Assembly, Test, Yield, and Quality teams on assigned integration scope
  • Communicate status, risks, and issues clearly to senior engineers and stakeholders
  • Escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner
Documentation & Reviews
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, trackers, and summaries
  • Contribute to NPI, Model of Record (MOR), and program reviews with clear data and analysis
Learning & Capability Development
  • Build understanding of HBM technology, process flows, and PI methodologies
  • Apply feedback to improve execution quality, technical depth, and ownership
Integrating Artificial Intelligence
  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgement and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work
Job Requirements, Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related discipline
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process, or product engineering
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor process flows and process integration concepts
  • Familiarity with data analysis and basic statistics (Excel; JMP/Python preferred)
  • Ability to follow defined NPI procedures and phase‑gate requirements
  • Strong analytical skills, learning agility, and cross‑functional collaboration mindset
  • Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes
  • Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning
  • Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
  • Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
  • Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
