CMA CGM Group in Marseille is offering a Group Strategic Advisory – CEO Office internship. You will join a small, high‑visibility team that directly supports the CEO and Chief of Staff on strategic decisions, with exposure to cross‑functional and geopolitical topics.

As an intern, you will prepare strategic briefs, help shape the CEO's communication, monitor geopolitical developments, and contribute analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's student or recent graduate in political science / IR / public affairs / business.
• 6‑month internship July–January 2026, based in Marseille.
• Experience in international environments or strategic challenges is valuable.
• Strong ability to summarize complex topics for senior leadership.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

• Prepare in‑depth strategic briefs on cross‑functional topics feeding the Chief of Staff's decisions.
• Contribute to the design and execution of the CEO's communication strategy.
• Conduct geopolitical monitoring to anticipate risks and opportunities for the Group.
• Lead high‑level strategic analyses on the Group's activities, markets and priorities.
• Participate in meetings with strategic partners and present recommendations to the Chief of Staff.

YOUR ROLE

At the heart of the Group's governance, the CEO Office is the strategic unit that directly supports the CEO and the Chief of Staff in preparing CMA CGM's most strategic decisions.

By joining the CEO Office, you become part of a small, highly selective team working in direct contact with the Group's most sensitive strategic, geopolitical and institutional matters, in a demanding, cross-functional and highly visible environment, where every deliverable can influence decisions affecting the entire Group.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As an intern, you will contribute directly to the work of the CEO's office, with a level of responsibility and exposure rarely offered at internship level:

• Prepare in-depth strategic briefs on cross-functional topics, feeding directly into the Chief of Staff's decision-making


• Contribute to the design and execution of the CEO's communication strategy


• Conduct thorough, structured geopolitical monitoring to anticipate risks and opportunities for the Group in a complex international environment


• Lead high-level strategic analyses on the Group's activities, markets and development priorities


• Take part in meetings with strategic partners and formulate recommendations addressed directly to the Chief of Staff

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Master's student, on a gap year, or recent graduate, from a program in political science, international relations, public affairs, communications or business (Sciences Po-type profile or equivalent)


• Looking for a 6-month internship between July and January 2026, based in Marseille


• Meaningful prior professional experience, ideally in a demanding, international environment or one related to the strategic challenges of a major group


• Strong understanding of major geopolitical, economic, institutional and media issues, both in France and internationally


• Excellent writing skills and proven ability to synthesize complex topics — capable of producing deliverables intended directly for senior leadership


• Fluent in English, both written and spoken


• Rigorous, curious, responsive and proactive, with a strong sense of confidentiality and teamwork in a highly demanding context
