Umicore AG & Co. KG in Acigné, France, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development Specialist to support the Infra-red Solutions growth through hands-on sourcing and supplier development across an international supplier network, with a strong focus on Asia.

You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify, assess and develop sourcing opportunities, support outsourcing projects and help build a resilient and competitive supply base.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience sourcing and developing suppliers in Asia is highly desirable.
• Experience with suppliers across the lifecycle: identification, assessment, negotiation and development.
• Background in industrial components or precision manufacturing is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Drive supply chain and procurement activities supporting Infra-red business growth.
• Identify, assess and develop new suppliers across Asian markets.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key categories, especially metalwork components.
• Engage with suppliers through the sourcing process from market exploration to qualification and negotiation.
• Translate business needs into resilient supply solutions, including dual/regional sourcing and managing direct spend.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive performance, cost competitiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with sustainability policies and regulations (REACH, RoHS, PFAS).
• Support outsourcing initiatives and supplier development activities—focus on Asia.
• Perform supply chain assessments (e.g., Kraljic Matrix) to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Global Supply and Procurement teams to meet objectives.
