Umicore is seeking a Commercial Manager Europe for its Electro-Optic Materials unit. The role focuses on developing customer relationships and driving sales across Europe for EOM InfraRed Solutions. You will work closely with existing customers and identify new opportunities, becoming the primary commercial contact throughout the sales cycle.

Travel across Europe is required. Place of work is the EOM site in Acigné (FR).

Qualifications

• Experience in a B2B sales or account management role within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Fluent in English and French; other European languages are an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Drive sales growth by managing existing customer accounts while developing new opportunities across Europe.
• Understand production flows, processes, and cost drivers to optimize pricing, margins, and delivery commitments.
• Build and expand long-term customer relationships as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts.
• Execute commercial plans from prospecting through quotation, negotiation and contract closure.
• Lead customer meetings, prepare offers and negotiate contracts with support from internal stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of customers’ applications and provide suitable technical solutions.
• Gather customer and market insights to identify new sales opportunities and share feedback with Operations, R&D and Product teams.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, prepare accurate forecasts and ensure CRM data is up to date.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Technical teams to ensure delivery and satisfaction.
• Participate in customer visits, trade fairs and industry events to generate opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Travel regularly across Europe to visit customers; place of work will be Acigné (FR).
