Umicore is seeking a senior commercial leader for the Tool Materials business line. You will shape the commercial strategy, lead a multi-site sales organization and drive international growth across hard metals and diamond tools markets.

You will manage budgets, forecast performance and develop strategic initiatives. Collaboration with production, R&D, finance and logistics will be essential to deliver results and sustain competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Engineering Materials, Industrial or Chemical Sciences, plus a business degree or 10+ years in a similar role in an international industrial setting.
• Excellent communication in English and French; German/Dutch is a plus.
• Proven leadership with ability to inspire, motivate and drive continuous improvement.
• Action‑oriented, entrepreneurial, committed to quality and integrity.
• Skilled project manager with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Able to communicate in a fast paced environment with internal and external customers.

Responsabilités

• Define the commercial strategy, budgets and forecasts for the Tool Materials line.
• Lead the business line management team and strategic projects.
• Manage sales, sales administration and reporting.
• Coach the Sales Managers.
• Ensure efficient document flow for quotes, orders, logistics and credit management.
• Define targets for commercial KPIs and monitor their progress.
• Maintain key customer relationships; negotiate contracts and visits with existing and new accounts.
• Advance Business Development and Market Knowledge via partnerships, industry conferences and new products.
• Interact with production, R&D, finance, supply and planning/logistics teams.
