Umicore in Acigné, France, is seeking a commercially driven Commercial Manager Europe for Electro Optic Materials. You will develop customer relationships and drive sales growth across Europe for EOM InfraRed Solutions, working with existing customers and identifying new opportunities.

You will lead negotiations, understand production processes, and provide technical solutions while coordinating with Operations, R&D and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a B2B sales or account management role within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Fluent English and French; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Experience managing sales opportunities from prospecting through contract negotiation.
• Well organized, self-driven and able to manage multiple customer opportunities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a matrix organization and collaborating across international teams.

Responsabilités

• Drive sales growth by managing existing customer accounts across Europe.
• Understand production flows, manufacturing processes, and cost drivers to optimize pricing, margins, and delivery commitments.
• Build, maintain and expand long-term customer relationships, acting as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts.
• Execute commercial plans by managing opportunities from prospecting through quotation, negotiation and contract closure.
• Lead customer meetings, prepare commercial offers and negotiate contracts with support from internal stakeholders where needed.
• Develop a strong understanding of customers’ applications, production processes and business needs to provide suitable technical solutions.
• Gather customer and market insights to identify new sales opportunities and share feedback with Operations, R&D and Product teams.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, prepare accurate sales forecasts and ensure CRM data is up to date.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Technical teams to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in customer visits, trade fairs and industry events to strengthen relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality, safety and internal procedures.
• Travel regularly across Europe to visit customers and develop business.
