Job summary

Yubo is seeking a proactive PR lead to build and shape its PR function from day one. You'll design how it works, lead the agency partner, and craft stories and moments that capture attention across the US, UK and France, with room to grow.

Reporting to the Director of Brand & Communications, you'll work with Brand, Product, Data, Trust & Safety and Legal to embed crisis playbooks and develop the 2027 PR strategy and calendar.

Qualifications

• Solid PR experience with measurable results from leading a function or campaign.
• Good read on Gen-Z culture and how 18-24 year-olds socialize online.
• Experience turning insight and data into media stories; ability to dig into data for angles.
• Track record using diverse levers to earn attention: influencers, events, research, activations.
• Experience managing and getting the best from an external PR agency.
• Good judgement under pressure with crisis communications experience.
• Strong writing and speaking skills for consumer storytelling and sensitive messaging.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Self-starter with examples of building something from ground up.

Responsibilities

• Set up how PR works at Yubo and onboard the PR agency.
• Plan and run the PR agenda including 2027 calendar and strategy.
• Lead proactive and reactive media relations with a clear voice.
• Spot and activate cultural moments through PR, research, events and partnerships.
• Collaborate with Product and Data to build proof points and stories.
• Advise senior leaders on reputational opportunities and risks.
• Support corporate communications and reactive issues management when needed.
• Work with Trust & Safety and Legal on sensitive topics.
