Job summary

Mars is seeking a Global Packaging Technology Specialist for the Royal Canin segment, based near Montpellier (Aimargues, France). The role focuses on leading packaging industrialization and governance across global sites for both DRY and WET products.

You will define R&D specs, lead packaging material deployment, and coordinate cross-functional teams in a multinational environment. The ideal candidate holds a science/engineering degree, 5+ years in packaging, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master in science/Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Food) – Packaging preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging industry as R&D Engineer, or Quality & food Safety in factory environment.
• Proven experience in multicultural and international companies.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PACKAGING INDUSTRIALIZATION pillar for DRY & WET at Global.
• Drive End-to-End Industrialization across the QUEST stage-gate process from kick-off to launch.
• Partner with cross-functional project teams and design industrial test plans.
• Define and publish process validation protocols; coordinate factory test runs with regional DEPLOY teams.
• Provide escalation support, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing across sites.
