Global AI Developer Relations Leader

Job summary

Mistral is seeking a VP of Global Developer Relations to lead a worldwide DevRel strategy and build a scalable, developer-first ecosystem around our AI models and platform.

You will lead a global team, partner with Product, Research, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales, and drive developer engagement, education, and advocacy across startups, enterprises, researchers, and open-source contributors. Located in Paris or Europe-based remote options are considered.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in Developer Relations for a B2B technology company, preferably AI/cloud/open-source.
• Deep technical credibility—able to engage with developers, scientists and engineers.
• A track record of growing and nurturing technical communities (open-source, forums, events).
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to inspire developers with content and talks.
• Strategic and operational excellence to scale DevRel globally while staying hands-on.
• Collaborative mindset to align DevRel with product, engineering, marketing and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global DevRel strategy connecting Mistral with developers, scientists, and technologists.
• Create authentic, developer-first engagement—content, tutorials, and tools.
• Foster advocacy where developers champion Mistral in networks and projects.
• Lead high-impact engagement initiatives: tutorials, community programs, talks, podcasts.
• Translate AI innovations into accessible insights for developers; collaborate with Product/Research.
• Build scalable enablement programs (SDKs, APIs, sample projects).
• Hire, mentor, and lead a global DevRel team with strength in Europe and SF; define KPIs.
• Represent Mistral at events and in communities to expand open source ecosystem.
