Job summary

AXA Group is seeking an AI Engineering Lead to drive the design, delivery and continuous improvement of production-grade AI and GenAI solutions that align with AXA's strategic priorities. You will lead technical direction, mentor teams, and partner with stakeholders to turn innovation into strategic business value across AXA entities.

You will shape AI engineering practices, evaluate GenAI approaches, and oversee cost governance while delivering secure, scalable, and measurable AI capabilities

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering AI/ML-enabled products or GenAI applications in production.
• Leadership experience managing engineering teams or cross-functional projects.
• Strong understanding of AI operational drivers: quality, latency, cost, safety, privacy, and value.
• Experience with GenAI patterns such as RAG, conversational assistants, and workflow automation.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment, and operation of AI and GenAI solutions delivering measurable value.
• Define reusable patterns and guardrails for scalable, responsible AI systems.
• Mentor AI engineers and foster engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, platform teams, and security/compliance stakeholders.
