Job summary

AXA Group Operations is seeking an AI Engineering Lead to drive production-grade GenAI solutions at scale. You will shape engineering practices, mentor teams, and partner with stakeholders to turn innovation into strategic business value across AXA entities.

You will guide evaluation, observability, cost governance and lifecycle governance while leading diverse teams across data scientists, engineers and product managers. This role offers senior leadership exposure and global impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering AI/ML-enabled products or GenAI platforms in production environments.
• Experience guiding evaluation, observability, reliability, or optimisation for GenAI applications.
• Strong understanding of AI operational drivers: quality, latency, cost, safety, privacy and business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery, and continuous improvement of production-grade AI and GenAI solutions.
• Mentor AI engineers and coordinate across data scientists, product managers and platform teams.
• Define reusable standards and guardrails for scalable, responsible AI systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into concrete AI initiatives.
• Drive AI usage governance, cost efficiency, and lifecycle governance across AXA entities.
• Support GenAI evaluation and contribution to AI consumption optimisation.
• Ensure delivery on ambitious, high-visibility AI initiatives.
