Back Market is hiring for a Payroll & People Operations role based in Paris or Bordeaux, with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office). You will own the end-to-end French payroll for about 300 employees, support international payroll operations, and help automate processes with Workday and AI-powered tools.

We seek 4–6+ years of hands-on French payroll experience, strong knowledge of social security and tax rules, and fluent French and English.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years hands-on experience processing French payroll, with strong understanding of French social security, tax requirements, and employment legislation.
• Experience managing end-to-end payroll operations, including inputs, payslips checks, reconciliations, and social declarations.
• Experience working with external payroll providers and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluency in both French and English, enabling international collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Own and manage French payroll end-to-end for ~300 employees in-house.
• Verify inputs, review payslips, perform reconciliations, ensure tax and social contributions accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation for audits; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with external providers and local administrations for smooth operations.
• Drive automation of People Operations and payroll workflows using Workday and AI tools.
