Job summary
Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Architect to act as a fractional CTO for several technology businesses. You will shape technical strategy, review architectures, and coach engineers across projects. This fully remote role welcomes flexible full-time or part-time engagement within Europe.
You will collaborate with founders, product owners, and delivery teams to translate business priorities into scalable, high-quality software solutions and to strengthen engineering practices.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in senior technical leadership or architecture roles.
- Strong communication with founders, product teams, and engineers.
- Coaching and mentoring across multiple project teams.
- Comfortable guiding architecture and technical strategy.
Responsibilities
- Act as a fractional CTO for 2–3 technology businesses.
- Translate business priorities into technical strategies and solutions.
- Review and evolve software architecture for scalability and security.
- Coach developers and conduct code reviews to improve practices.
- Lead technical interviews and support recruiting efforts.
- Provide hands-on guidance across development, DevOps, and infra.
- Contribute to engineering standards and internal tech initiatives.
- Support in-person founder meetings when needed.
- Assess new projects for technical viability and risks.
