The candidate should be pursuing an Engineering or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with strong analytical and communication skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Prior internship is a plus, with start in January 2027.

The Team Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team as an Intern. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to the dynamic world of financial services M&A consulting.
Support M&A Due Diligence: Assist in conducting comprehensive due diligence processes for financial institutions considering mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures. Tasks may include financial analysis, market research, and target evaluation.
Financial Modeling: Collaborate with senior consultants to develop and maintain financial models to assess the financial impact of potential transactions, including valuation analyses, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
Industry Research: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics within the financial services industry, providing valuable insights to support client engagements.
Documentation and Reporting: Assist in preparing client presentations, memoranda, and reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and insights derived from the due diligence and analysis processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across different functional areas, including finance, operations, and strategy, to support the development and execution of client engagements.
Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities to enhance technical skills, industry knowledge, and professional development.
