Alvarez & Marsal in Paris offers a six-month internship with the FIG M&A team to gain hands-on experience in due diligence, financial modeling, and industry research for financial services transactions.

The candidate should be pursuing an Engineering or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with strong analytical and communication skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Prior internship is a plus, with start in January 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Engineering or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Strong academic track record with interest in finance, investment banking, or consulting.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements analysis.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous internship experience in finance, consulting, or related fields is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Support M&A due diligence: assist in financial analysis, market research, and target evaluation.
• Develop and maintain financial models to assess transactions, including valuation and scenario analyses.
• Conduct industry research on trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics in financial services.
• Prepare client presentations, memoranda, and reports with findings and insights.
• Collaborate with colleagues across finance, operations, and strategy to support client engagements.
