Harmattan AI is seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer to own test stations on the factory floor, ensuring production-grade reliability and ergonomic operation. You will drive continuous improvement and act as the primary link between the floor and the engineering team.

Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and software issues, integrating new hardware, and translating floor observations into actionable feedback.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on in production, field deployment, or industrial environments.
• Comfortable with hardware wiring, fixtures, component swaps and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• 3D CAD design and mechanical integration experience.
• Proficient in Python and Linux; read logs and run diagnostics.
• Strong root cause analysis with cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication with operators on the floor and Paris engineers; fluent in French and English.

Responsabilités

• Own deployed test stations and ensure they are production-grade, robust and maintainable.
• Diagnose hardware/software issues on stations; escalate as needed with clear change specs.
• Identify recurring failures and friction points and drive lasting fixes.
• Build operator trust; measure adoption and ensure practical use.
• Translate floor observations into actionable feedback for engineering.
• Lead new station bring-up and sign off readiness on the floor.
• Perform hardware interventions and integrate new hardware into the stack.
