Harmattan AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to design, implement, and deploy mission-critical software for allied forces. You will work closely with partner teams to understand needs and deliver robust solutions in the field.

You will own projects end-to-end—from architecture through testing and deployment on site—collaborating with our platform and operator teams in demanding environments. English fluency is required, and frequent on-site travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building and shipping production software in Python and at least one lower-level language.
• Experience defining end-to-end systems and delivering deployed solutions.
• Owns software end-to-end—design, build, debug, deploy—on Linux in field conditions.
• Strong communication with client technical teams and stakeholders.
• Willing to travel frequently on site, domestically and internationally.
• English proficiency is mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Design and build software applications that solve operational problems for partners, end-to-end from architecture to deployment.
• Turn loosely defined real-world requirements into working software on tight timelines.
• Build interfaces and connectors between our platforms and partner systems; validate data flows end-to-end.
• Deploy solutions on site, gather feedback from operators, and iterate quickly.
• Spot patterns to extend the core product and collaborate with platform engineers.
• Debug issues in live settings and document learnings for future reuse.
• Develop relationships with client teams and end users to better understand their problems.
