Harmattan AI is seeking a Field Deployment Engineer to deploy and sustain ground systems across multiple sites. You’ll perform hands‑on installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, while developing repeatable deployment documentation and training materials.

This role blends hardware and software work with frequent on‑site campaigns and travel. You will collaborate with engineering to translate field requirements into fixes and updates, and you will enable local deployment teams through

Qualifications

2–5 years of hands‑on field or technical experience with complex hardware/software systems.
Experience deploying hardware and software end‑to‑end.
Electromechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams.
Strong networking fundamentals and system‑level thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to train others.

Responsabilités

Site Assessment: Evaluate deployment sites ahead of installation and identify prerequisites and constraints.
Hardware Deployment: Install, assemble, connect, and bring up system hardware on site.
Software Deployment: Install, configure, and parameterise software; comfortable on Linux.
Commissioning: Bring the full system online and verify end‑to‑end functionality across hardware and software.
Deployment Strategy & Documentation: Contribute to deployment playbooks and documentation for cross‑site use.
Local Team Enablement: Support creation and growth of local deployment teams with training materials.
Engineering Interface: Interface with engineering on product requirements and field updates.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose hardware, software, and networking issues in the field and feedback findings.
