ThunderSoft in Paris seeks an on‑site IDC operations engineer to perform routine 5×8 duties, monitor infrastructure, and ensure system availability according to client requirements. The role requires responsiveness to IT operations incidents and adherence to emergency procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of IDC experience, with a background in electrical engineering or HVAC, and strong English communication for collaboration across teams and sites.

Qualifications

• Full‑time associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Degree fields: Electrical engineering, HVAC or related areas.
• At least 1 year of IDC infrastructure experience.
• Strong communication and cross‑team collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform 5×8 IDC on‑site duties per client requirements.
• Update infrastructure information with high accuracy and monitor system availability.
• Familiarize with IDC environment, monitor systems and conduct facility checks.
• Respond promptly to incidents following IT operations guidelines and report findings.
• Understand IDC power, HVAC, and low‑voltage systems to restore services quickly.
• Contribute to monitoring, capacity, security, and availability management to boost efficiency.
• Create and implement change MOPs to prevent incidents during operations.
• Complete additional tasks outlined in the Service Contract and attachments.

Description du poste

1. 1. Perform 5×8 IDC (Internet Data Center) on-site duties as per Client requirements. Be able to arrive on-site promptly outside working hours in accordance with the IT operations incident management guidelines.


2. 2. Update and maintain infrastructure information with 100% accuracy, regularly check platform alarm settings, and monitor system availability and stability.


3. 3. Be familiar with the IDC environment and monitoring systems, and conduct facility inspections as per client’s requirements, including but not limited to facility status checks, maintenance/repair MOP (Method of Procedure) review, and follow-up.


4. 4. Respond quickly and arrive on-site according to IT operations incident management guidelines, handling incidents promptly following EOP (Emergency Operation Procedure) and reporting them accordingly.


5. 5. Have a strong understanding of IDC infrastructure, including power supply, HVAC, and low-voltage electrical systems, and be able to quickly locate faults and restore services in case of an incident.


6. 6. Be knowledgeable in infrastructure monitoring, capacity management, security management, and availability management to improve operational efficiency.


7. 7. Independently create and implement change MOPs, ensuring no incidents occur due to operational changes.


8. 8. Complete other tasks as outlined in the Service Contract, Outsourcing Requirement Specification, and related attachments.

Educational Background:

• Degree Requirement: Full-time associate degree or equivalent and above.


• Major Requirement: Electrical engineering, HVAC, or related fields.

Work Experience:

• Industry Knowledge: At least 1 year of experience.


• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year.


• Skills: Basic knowledge of infrastructure and IDC operations.

• Communication Skills: Clear and logical expression, polite listening.


• Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, remote teamwork capabilities, and cross-language and cross-region team coordination.
