Job summary

SMBC Group in Paris seeks an Executive Director in GFIG Coverage – Relationship Management to drive expansion of the FI franchise across Southern and Eastern Europe. The role involves leading senior client dialogue, originating multi-product opportunities, and coordinating across product teams to satisfy client priorities.

With 15+ years in FI coverage or related front-office roles, you will manage relationships with banks, insurers, asset managers and other institutions, while developing junior

Qualifications

• Significant experience (15+ years) in Financial Institutions coverage or related front-office role.
• Strong knowledge of FI sector with senior client relationships.
• Expertise in credit and financial analysis, transaction structuring, lending or banking solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute relationship strategies for an assigned FI portfolio across Southern and Eastern Europe.
• Originate multi-product opportunities across lending, capital markets, securitisation, treasury, trade finance and structured finance.
• Lead senior client dialogue and manage cross-functional teams across Credit, Legal, Compliance and product areas.
• Develop and lead junior team members and contribute to SMBC’s European coverage expansion.
• Coordinate global client dialogue with GFIG teams across EMEA, Japan, US and APAC.
