Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking an Engineering Leader – Factory & Controls to lead a high-performing engineering team across Europe, delivering technical leadership and customer-focused solutions. You will shape strategy, mentor engineers, collaborate with Sales and other functions, and ensure delivery excellence in a hybrid, international environment.

Fluent collaboration across countries, matrix organisation experience, and a people-first leadership style are expected, with a focus on quality, safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering or related).
• 3+ years of engineering leadership with deep technical understanding.
• People-first leadership, empathy, coaching and accountability.
• Strong listening and ability to motivate highly experienced professionals.
• Commercial and business acumen with customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop experienced engineers across Europe.
• Bridge engineering with customers, sales and other teams.
• Maintain and improve team performance, capacity and priorities.
• Drive process improvements, quality, efficiency and financial performance.
• Represent the organisation at customer meetings and industry events.
