Job summary

Atelier Ten US seeks to hire an Environmental Designer with a specialty in Energy Analysis at the New York City office, not remote. The role focuses on producing technical deliverables, energy modeling (IES-VE/eQuest), and developing strategies for decarbonizing the built environment.

You will lead analyses, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and advance energy efficiency across projects. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of building energy analysis experience, familiarity with ASHRAE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Sustainable Building Design
• 2–5 years professional work experience in building energy analysis or high-performance HVAC design
• Experience with IES-VE and/or eQuest; EnergyPlus and/or Grasshopper is a plus
• Verbal and written fluency in English; communication and reporting skills

Responsibilities

• Perform whole building energy modeling to support design decisions
• Develop engineering strategies for HVAC systems and building envelope performance
• Collaborate with architects and design teams to decarbonize built environment
• Prepare written summaries and technical reports for clients
• Review project documents and interpret energy model inputs/outputs
• Develop and maintain in-house energy analysis tools and databases
