Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Counsel, Offboarding & Litigation to lead complex employment matters across EMEA. This senior role partners with internal teams and external counsel to drive compliant offboarding, disciplined processes, and litigation strategies while minimizing risk.

Qualifications

• Law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and active admission to the Bar in an applicable EMEA jurisdiction.
• 6–10 years of post-qualification experience in employment law within EMEA.
• Experience leading employment agency proceedings, tribunals, arbitrations, and hearings.
• Strong knowledge of EMEA employment legislation and due process procedures.
• Experience instructing and managing external counsel; negotiating scopes, fees, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end offboarding, pre-litigation and litigation across EMEA.
• Manage disciplinary and consultation processes and statutory filings.
• Conduct case intake, fact-finding, and risk assessments for employee matters.
• Lead or support disciplinary hearings, conciliations, mediations and arbitrations.
• Draft and review termination notices, separation agreements and legal submissions.
• Assess litigation exposure and advise on damages and settlement strategies.
• Coordinate with external counsel, review deliverables, and manage timelines.
• Collaborate with HR, Product, Operations to improve offboarding and compliance.
• Support cross-functional legal initiatives and regulatory projects.
• Translate legal requirements into scalable processes and system updates.
