Job summary

CAREL France is seeking a Software Solutions Developer to migrate and structure embedded applications on CAREL programmable controllers for refrigeration, HVAC, BMS/EMS, and energy management systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded applications in an industrial setting.
• Ability to migrate and structure software with modular architecture.
• Proficiency in version control, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing controller applications and define a migration strategy to recent CAREL platforms.
• Design modular software architecture for IEC 61131-3 applications that is maintainable and scalable.
• Develop software in Structured Text (ST) following CAREL principles.
• Structure code around functions, classes, interfaces, or function blocks.
• Enforce Git best practices, including reviews, traceability and releases.
• Create automated/unit tests and non-regression test matrices.
• Integrate HMI interfaces, web applications, REST APIs and supervision systems.
• Collaborate with refrigeration specialists, commissioning engineers, and business experts.
