Job summary

CAREL France is seeking a Software Solutions Developer to migrate and structure embedded applications running on CAREL controllers. The role focuses on developing in Structured Text (ST) and applying robust industrial software engineering practices.

You will design modular architectures for IEC 61131-3, enforce Git workflows, and contribute to testing, documentation, and API integration. Collaboration with refrigeration experts and engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating embedded applications to CAREL platforms.
• Developing in Structured Text (ST).
• Applying robust software engineering practices in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 standards.
• Experience with Git, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing controller applications and define a migration strategy to recent CAREL platforms.
• Design a modular software architecture for IEC 61131-3 applications that is maintainable, testable, and scalable.
• Develop software in Structured Text (ST) while applying CAREL development principles.
• Structure code around functions, classes, interfaces, or function blocks.
• Establish and enforce Git best practices, including version control, code reviews, traceability, and release management.
• Create automated tests, unit tests, audit tools, and non-regression test matrices.
• Collaborate on integration of HMI interfaces, web apps, REST APIs, and supervisory platforms.
• Collaborate with refrigeration specialists, commissioning engineers, and business experts.
