Mistral is seeking a Product Operations Manager (Design) to be the operating system for its design team. You will define cadences, establish forums, and own cross-functional interlocks with Brand, Marketing, Product, and Design to ensure timely delivery and clear alignment.

You will automate coordination, introduce analytics, and shape decision-making forums while partnering with marketing, PMs, engineering and GTM to synchronize design work with product releases and market timing.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in design operations, product operations, program management, or a chief-of-staff role within a creative or product organization.
• Founding design-ops mindset — you've built operational disciplines from scratch, not just maintained inherited ones.
• Comfortable automating with AI tools to remove repetitive overhead, while coordinating people without authority.
• Strong systems thinking — you design repeatable rhythms and processes, not just run meetings.
• Design literacy — you understand designers' pain and can be credible with the team.
• Make-it-happen attitude with bias to action and a tendency to unblock rather than escalate.
• Excellent communication and synthesis skills — you turn scattered signals into a shared source of truth.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and define your own scope in a role with no playbook and no team to delegate to.

Responsabilités

• Define the operating system of the design team — cadences, forums, rituals, and source-of-truth.
• Own weekly and quarterly cadences with leadership syncs, planning, retros, and headcount inputs.
• Coordinate interlocks between Brand, Marketing, Product, and Design with lead time and dependency planning.
• Establish how work is tracked and shared — a single source of truth for status accessible to the org.
• Design and hold decision-making forums so decisions are made and not relitigated.
• Separate ritual from overhead — keep useful cadences and cut the rest.
• Automate repetitive coordination, reporting, and tracking with AI.
• Bring the Product Operations toolkit to design — analytics, feedback loops, and early-access programs.
• Partner with marketing, PMs, engineering and GTM to align design with go-to-market timing.
