International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is seeking a Deputy Director for Arbitration and ADR – Europe to drive growth, engagement and strategic initiatives across the European region. You will promote ICC Dispute Resolution Services, develop relationships with senior stakeholders, and elevate the ICC Hearing Centre as the premier venue for hearings and dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• Degree in law or business; knowledge of dispute resolution is desirable.
• Minimum five years post-qualification experience in a global professional organisation.
• Strong business development acumen with a track record in a legal environment advantageous.
• Excellent written, presentation and oral communication in English; French language skills are a plus.

The role

We areseeking aDeputy Director for Arbitration and ADR – Europeto support the growth and visibility of ICC Dispute Resolution Services across Europe.

In this role you will assist in developing and promoting ICC’s Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) across the European continent,to support the implementationofregional strategy and priorities.In addition to this, you will alsokey role in promoting and developing the business of the ICC Hearing Centre, positioning it as the venue of choice for hearings, mediations and dispute resolution proceedings in Europe.

Yourresponsibilities will include:

Drivinggrowth and engagement

• Help drive the regional strategy and workplan, and represent ICC in internal and external meetings andengagements as required.
• Leverage ICC’s network and expand the adoption of ICC Arbitration, ADR and related dispute resolution services across Europe.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate counsel, law firms, arbitral institutions, chambers of commerce and public-sector stakeholders.
• Represent ICC across the regional dispute resolution community, strengthening visibility, influence and market presence.
• Initiate and steerbusiness development initiatives for the ICC Hearing Centre, increasing its visibility, utilisation and positioning as a premier venue for international dispute resolution proceedings.

Delivering insight and opportunities

• Monitor legal, arbitration and business trends across Europe to identify growth opportunities and emerging user needs.
• Provide strategic market intelligence to support regional and global development priorities.
• Manageand track stakeholder engagement and business developmentopportunities/pipelinesandoutcomes to maximise impact and inform decision-making.

• Develop and deliver events, content and engagement initiatives that reinforce ICC's leadership in dispute resolution across the region.
• Organise and participate in regional conferences, seminars, including coordinating programmes, budgets and logistics more broadly.
• Collaborate across ICC's global network to promote knowledge sharing, strengthen client engagement and advance business development priorities.

Requirements

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Hold degree level qualification (preferably legal or business) with knowledge of dispute resolution, particularly international arbitration;
• Have a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience in a global professional organisation;
• Possess a strong business development acumen, with a proven track record in a legal environment being an advantage;
• Demonstrate strong emotional and cultural intelligence, proactive thinking, autonomy in execution, and mature professional judgment;
• Have multi-tasking abilities and demonstrated capabilities to meet concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
• Possess excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills in English with the proven ability to draft substantive copy(fluency in French or other major European languages is an asset);
• Have excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders;
• Are prepared to travel across Europe for key engagements when required(the role is otherwise primarily based at ICC Headquarters in Paris);
• Have an extensive working knowledge of MS Office programmes(knowledge of CRM systems and affinity for digital tools and platforms is a plus).
