Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems; basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities:\*\* \* Set up, adjust, and operate decorating machines, including ink systems, varnish application, and curing ovens, to meet production specifications. \* Monitor decorator performance, identifying and rectifying issues such as misprints, registration problems, and quality defects. \* Perform routine preventative maintenance on decorator equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn parts. \* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems on decorating machinery. \* Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure product consistency and adherence to quality standards. \* Conduct quality checks on decorated cans, utilizing measuring tools and visual inspection techniques. \* Maintain accurate production records, maintenance logs, and inventory of spare parts. \* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. \* Assist in training new operators and mechanics on decorator operations and maintenance. \* Propose and implement improvements to decorating processes and equipment for enhanced efficiency and quality. Qualifications:\*\* \* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or a technical degree in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred. \* Proven experience as a mechanic or operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in printing, decorating, or packaging machinery. \* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. \* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. \* Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. \* Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus. \* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. \* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. \* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. \* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. \* Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
