This role is crucial for ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. --- Job Responsibilities \* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on various canning line front-end equipment, including cuppers, bodymakers, and trimmers. \* Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime. \* Conduct regular inspections and adjustments to ensure machinery operates within specified parameters and quality standards. \* Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and improve overall line efficiency. \* Execute equipment changeovers and set-ups accurately and efficiently. \* Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements accurately in the maintenance management system. \* Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. \* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge. \* Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required. --- Job Qualifications \* Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with specific experience on canning lines or similar high-speed production machinery. \* Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. \* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals. \* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively. \* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. \* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. \* Strong commitment to safety and quality. \* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules. \* Basic computer literacy for documentation and data entry. \* Relevant technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical maintenance or a related field is highly desirable.
