Forvia in Paris is seeking a Data Engineer apprentice to join the Data Governance team. You will design, build, and maintain data integration pipelines, focusing on Palantir and MS Fabric, while upholding data quality and governance standards.

The role requires a Master's degree in CS or Data Engineering, knowledge of big data ecosystems, Python, SQL/NoSQL, and good English/French communication; collaboration with IT architects and data teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field.
• Experience building data models, data mining and segmentation.
• Strong knowledge of Spark and Hadoop ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Python and data governance.
• SQL and NoSQL databases knowledge.
• Palantir knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Good analytical thinking.

The Data Governance team, part of the Data Office at Forvia, plays a key role in supporting the company’s transformation into a data-driven enterprise. The team is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong data governance practices across multiple data platforms, ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility to support business performance.

Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

The Data Engineer apprentice will be part of the Data Governance team, working on data integration, platform operations, and governance initiatives.

Overall Responsibilities And Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines, particularly within Palantir and MS fabric
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with governance standards
• Contribute to the development of applications and tools supporting the Data Governance network
• Create ontologies for knowledge & data management
• Collaborate with business owners, IT Architects & Data teams

Your profile and competencies to succeed

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field
• Knowledge in building data models, data mining & segmentation
• Good knowledge of Big data eco systems (Spark & Hadoop)
• Good knowledge of python and governance Data
• Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL Databases
• Knowledge of Palantir is a plus
• Good communication skills in English and Frensh
• Good logical & analytical thinking
