Eni is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and improve scalable data solutions across our data platform in Paris. You will deliver reliable data pipelines on Azure and Databricks, ensure data quality, and translate business needs into robust technical solutions for stakeholders.

You will contribute to platform standards, troubleshoot production issues, and optimise performance, cost, and maintainability of data workflows while collaborating with teams across the business.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, distributed systems, data engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python for data processing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment workflows in a data environment.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and products on Azure and Databricks.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability across the data lifecycle.
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions and deliver data to stakeholders.
• Contribute to platform standards (coding, CI/CD, data modelling, testing, monitoring).
• Troubleshoot production issues, including root-cause analysis and prevention.
• Optimise performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability of data workflows.
• Develop and enhance ELT/ETL pipelines with a focus on scalability.
• Orchestrate workflows using Azure Data Factory and Databricks (Airflow a plus).
• Implement data quality checks, testing, and pipeline monitoring.
• Work with Azure services (storage, networking basics, security, cost awareness).
• Support CI/CD and release processes (Jenkins a plus).
• Produce clear documentation and share knowledge within the team.
